Job Summary
The Operations Associate will manage cash and asset reconciliation, including daily and monthly reconciliations, research, and issue resolution for institutional and mutual fund accounts. They will respond to vendor and client custodian inquiries, address discrepancies, prepare regular reports, provide account coverage, and support special projects as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews and oversees vendor reconciliation and accounting system issue resolution for assigned institutional and mutual fund accounts on a daily basis.
- Responds to accounting vendor and client custodian questions or issue inquiries for assigned institutional and mutual fund accounts.
- Independently and proactively reaches out to internal and/or external parties with accounting or order management discrepancies, including validation of client-directed flows in separately managed accounts if not identified by vendor(s).
- Reconciliation and correction of any issues identified in the order management system.
- Prepares various daily and monthly reporting.
- Completes monthly reconciliations.
- Provides account coverage as necessary.
- College degree in business administration or related field (accounting or finance) - preferred.
- 1-3 years of related work experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to meet the requirements of the role.
- Proficiency using Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, etc.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills including time management & establishing priorities.
