Position Overview:
The Tax Attorney will work under the supervision of the Partners to support a wide range of tax-related legal matters, including tax planning, audits, controversies, and compliance. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent law graduate or entry-level professional with a strong interest in tax law to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist attorneys with legal research, drafting memos, and tax opinions.
· Prepare and review audits, disclosures, and filings in coordination with CPAs and clients
· Support litigation or audit-related matters before the IRS and state tax authorities
· Analyze federal, state, and international tax regulations and rulings
· Participate in client meetings and help develop tailored tax strategies
· Monitor changes in tax laws and contribute to internal knowledge resources
Qualifications:
· J.D. degree from an accredited law school with 0-4 years of experience (LL.M. in Taxation is a plus)
· Bar admission (or pending admission) in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
· Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills
· Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw)
· Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
