About the Role:
The Highlander Group is seeking a detail‑oriented, client‑focused Tax Associate to join our team. In this role, you’ll help deliver exceptional, personalized tax preparation services while supporting a firm that believes tax work should feel human — not transactional. If you care about people as much as numbers, you’ll fit right in.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for individuals and small businesses
- Build strong client relationships through clear communication and attentive service
- Explain complex tax concepts in a way clients can easily understand
- Identify opportunities to improve clients’ tax outcomes and long‑term financial well‑being
- Collaborate with a supportive team committed to integrity, innovation, and continuous learning Assist with administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing or a related role (preferred but not required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities
- Curiosity, strong problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to accuracy Eagerness to learn and grow within the tax and financial services industry
