We are currently seeking for a Full-time Environmental Service personnel to join our growing hospital. The individual responsibility is to provide a clean and safe environment for patients, families, employees, and guests. The individual will maintain the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the clinical/hospital areas where they are designated to. They do so by thoroughly cleaning assigned areas per designated guidelines and standards demonstrating proper use of approved disinfectants, cleaning products and care of the housekeeping equipment. The individual will maintain a safe environment, provides a service that focuses on the needs of the department and maintains productive working relationships.
Essential Functions:
- Able to lift 0 – 50 lbs. Frequently
- Capable of standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout the shift
- Capable of pushing and pulling a housekeeping cart, linen cart, or scrubbing equipment (over 100 lbs.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout the shift
- Capable of pushing and pulling furniture and equipment (20 – 100 lbs.) frequently
- Capable of lifting furniture and equipment (up to 25 lbs.) frequently
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as needed per area assignment
Tools and Equipment:
Dust mop, damp mop, bucket and wringer, cart, vacuum, high duster, scrubbing pads and putty knife
Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1 year Housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment required
- Demonstrated ability to handle chemicals safely
- Strong communication skills and detail oriented
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
