Position Overview
We’re seeking a CFP® professional to lead the creation, implementation, and ongoing management of customized, comprehensive financial plans for THOR clients. In this role, you will work alongside the Lead Advisor—who manages the overall client relationship—to ensure every plan is technically sound, precisely executed, and regularly updated. You’ll also mentor and develop associate planners, enhance our planning processes, and play a key role in delivering an exceptional client experience through detailed, high-quality planning work.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the development of comprehensive financial plans addressing retirement, investment, tax, cash flow, and estate considerations.
· Partner with Lead Advisors to prepare, update, and refine client plans in alignment with goals, ensuring timely implementation of recommendations.
· Review client data, model scenarios, and identify opportunities for improved outcomes.
· Stay current on market trends, planning strategies, and regulatory changes to keep advice relevant and compliant.
· Mentor associate planners, providing guidance on technical work, case preparation, and professional development.
· Contribute to process improvements and best-practice standards for THOR’s financial planning function.
Required Qualifications
· CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation.
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning, with significant responsibility for plan creation, analysis, and implementation in a client-facing environment.
· Strong technical expertise in financial planning principles, including retirement planning, cash flow analysis, and investment strategy.
· Comfortable learning and using financial planning technology and client management systems.
· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
· Passion for leadership, coaching, and team development.
Preferred Qualifications
· 5 years of experience in financial planning.
· Experience with RightCapital or similar financial planning software.
· Proven experience mentoring or managing team members.
