Position Overview
The Technical Services Specialist supports customers and sales teams through the effective application of biocides, preservatives, multifunctional emollient and conditioning agents in the Personal Care and Household markets. This customer-facing role works closely with sales, regulatory, laboratory and other internal teams to deliver high quality technical service and customer-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary technical contact for customers and sales teams
- Provide application guidance, technical documentation, and non-standard technical reports
- Deliver technical training and customer presentations
- Develop technical sales tools and monitor competitor products and market trends
- Support ISO 9001 quality systems and company safety, health, and environmental policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related field)
- 2–6 years of experience in consumer products, personal care, household, or industrial applications
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and data interpretation preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Must be based within 35 miles of Shelton, CT office
- Travel required for this role
