Vice President Operations

Vice President of Data Center Operations required by a Data Center Developer, Owner and Operator. This role is suited to a senior data center operations professional. Please note the position is 4 days per week onsite in NYC.

The role:

This Is a senior leadership role responsible for guiding design, operability, sales, contract administration, and SLA management for all HPC-driven data center projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive operational performance for high‑density data centers, ensuring top‑tier uptime, safety, and efficiency.
• Oversee FM vendors, operational budgets, and maintenance programs across critical power, cooling, security, and compliance systems.
• Provide design and operability input for new builds and site expansions, ensuring resilient, scalable HPC facilities.
• Lead sustainability and energy‑efficiency initiatives, including PUE and ESG commitments.
• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for customers, SLAs, reporting, and technical sales support.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, and sales to optimize assets, support growth, and guide due diligence.
• Manage teams of internal and external engineers and operations staff in mission‑critical environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Technical background in in mechanical, electrical, or controls engineering; advanced degree/PE preferred.
• 10 years in data center operations with deep expertise in critical infrastructure, FM oversight, and SLA management.
• Proven leadership through high‑density builds, rapid scaling, and complex customer engagements.
• Strong communication, financial management, and technical sales support skills.
• Experience with GPU clusters, AI/HPC workloads, or similar environments (Bonus)

Compensation

Comp is flexible, but the guidance is $300k-$400k bonus stock (publicly traded)
