Position Summary
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting the US Payroll Operations function, understanding operational processes, and representing the business. This role serves as a Workday Knowledge & Operational Expert and provides support to the payroll team, business managers, and other stakeholders.
This position may also support and/or lead special projects, identify and implement process improvements, use data and analytics to inform decision-making, support vendor partnerships, and contribute to other operational initiatives.
The role regularly works with sensitive information and requires a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Partner on projects with colleagues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate with vendors and stakeholders as needed.
Understand process intersection points across multiple vendors.
Provide process expertise in assigned subject areas, including tax inquiries and payroll-related processes.
Gather data and conduct analysis for ad hoc requests.
Support and resolve Workday and operational inquiries from employees, HR teams, and business leaders.
Provide Workday support for annual processes, including Performance Management and Annual Compensation Planning cycles.
Research, escalate, and resolve issues.
Run reports and conduct data integrity audits.
Identify and document recurring or systemic issues requiring broader attention and recommend solutions.
Support issue resolution for both system-related and non-system-related concerns.
Support and/or lead small to mid-sized projects.
Use data and analytics to inform recommendations and decision-making.
Perform mass data loads and quality assurance activities.
Provide organizational change and business unit hierarchy support.
Conduct data integrity reviews and maintenance activities.
Support Workday releases and enhancements, including:
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Internal customer education
Vendor partner support
Education & Experience
High school diploma required.
College degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
Practical experience with Workday strongly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel and the ability to manipulate complex data.
Ability to create and edit presentations in PowerPoint preferred.
Prior HR, Payroll, or customer service experience is an asset.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $26.65 - 33.65/hr USD.This posting is for an existing vacancy.
