Reuters is looking for an experienced and talented reporter to cover entertainment and the business of entertainment. We are looking for candidates who have shown they can develop sources and break news on their beat while also delivering quick-hit enterprise work when big stories break. The position will be based in Los Angeles.
About the Role
As an Entertainment Reporter, you will:
- Cover topics ranging from major film openings and awards season to music, theater, celebrity news, and legal troubles
- Focus on the big news stories of the day and week while also developing areas of expertise and longer-term enterprise work on deeper issues in the industry
- Work closely with TV and Pictures colleagues, and with other reporting teams
About You
As an Entertainment Reporter, you will likely have:
- Strong knowledge of the business side of entertainment, with an ability to cover industry leaders, shifting technologies, and emerging business trends and challenges
- Proven skill at reporting and writing fast, accurate breaking news stories
- A track record of both covering spot news as well as producing ambitious, agenda-setting stories
- Ability to work collaboratively
- At least 3 years’ experience reporting at a major news organization
