Position Summary

The Business Development Agent (BDC Agent) engages with potential and existing customers through outbound calls, emails, and text messages. The primary goal of this role is to reignite customer interest, set qualified appointments, and generate sales opportunities from aged or unresponsive CRM prospects.

No previous sales experience is required — training, sales development, and ongoing coaching are provided. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to build a long-term career in automotive sales or customer engagement.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Lead Management

  • Make 70 to 100 outbound calls per day to prospects and customers in the CRM.
  • Reconnect with aged, unresponsive, or warm internet leads to generate renewed interest.
  • Engage customers in friendly, professional conversations to build rapport and identify buying intent.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate notes in the CRM for every customer interaction.
  • Follow a consistent contact cadence based on BDC best practices.

Appointment Generation & Coordination

  • Schedule and confirm quality appointments for the sales department.
  • Monitor appointment status and follow up to maximize show rates.
  • Coordinate hand-offs to sales consultants and maintain communication for smooth transitions.

Customer Service & Team Collaboration

  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and professional phone etiquette.
  • Work closely with the sales team, internet team, and management to maximize opportunities.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and process improvement initiatives.
 

Qualifications


Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Licensing

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a California Vehicle Salesperson License.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong phone presence with confidence in high-volume outreach.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort navigating CRM systems.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and goal-driven.
  • Able to handle fast-paced work and maintain productivity expectations.

Experience

  • Phone sales, call center experience, or appointment setting is a plus, but not required.
  • No automotive experience needed — we provide complete training.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Plan: Hourly base rate plus commissions for vehicles sold.
    • Salary Range from $3,000-$8,000 per month
