Thompson First Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity with a growing food and beverage manufacturing company in Ephrata, PA.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing juice processing and bottling equipment to ensure maximum equipment reliability and production uptime. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of processing, packaging, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while supporting continuous improvement and equipment installation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on juice processing and bottling equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
- Repair and maintain pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Complete corrective maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
- Manage spare parts inventory and monitor parts usage.
- Coordinate with vendors and equipment manufacturers to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning projects.
- Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while following company safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Participate in on-call maintenance support as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Manufacturing maintenance experience required; food, beverage, or high-speed packaging experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding environments.
- Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs.
