Job Summary
Thompson Tile and Stone is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support our daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for checking in incoming trucks, loading and unloading customer orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate has computer skills, excellent attendance, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and check in incoming deliveries and trucks for accuracy and damage
- Load and unload customer and vendor orders safely and efficiently
- Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery
- Accurately enter and update inventory and order information in the computer system
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Communicate effectively with team members, drivers, and customers
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficient computer skills, including data entry and basic warehouse software usage
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior warehouse or material-handling experience preferred (tile or stone experience a plus)
- Forklift experience required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and stack heavy materials (often 50 lbs)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday 7:30am-3:30pm
- Occasional overtime as business needs require
