Law firm in Coral Gables, Florida is seeking an Associate Attorney with liability experience to join its practice. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload, work closely with partners and clients, and play an active role in litigation strategy and courtroom advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of general liability, premises liability, and insurance defense matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda
- Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Develop case strategies and evaluate liability exposure
- Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
- Maintain billable hour requirements in accordance with firm standards
- Support partners with trial preparation and complex litigation matters
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
- 2–4 years of litigation/liability defense experience
- Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure and evidentiary rules
- Excellent writing, research, and advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
