What You'll Do
Responsibilities
In this role, you'll work closely with project managers, service teams, and customers to deliver reliable, high-performing control systems. Responsibilities include:
- Installing and terminating low-voltage temperature control and BAS components, including controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices
- Mounting control panels and related equipment according to project specifications and industry standards
- Performing system startup, commissioning, checkout, and functional testing
- Diagnosing and resolving complex issues on both new and existing BAS and HVAC control systems
- Supporting service calls, system upgrades, retrofits, and preventative maintenance activities
- Reviewing control sequences, electrical schematics, project drawings, and customer requirements
- Documenting completed work and communicating technical findings, recommendations, and system changes
- Maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
- 5 years of experience working with temperature controls, building automation systems, or HVAC controls
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment operation, control strategies, and system integration
- Hands-on experience with one or more major BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls, Distech, Siemens, Trane, Carrier, KMC, Automated Logic, or similar systems
- Experience commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting commercial building automation systems with minimal supervision
- Solid knowledge of low-voltage control wiring, including analog and digital circuits
- Experience working with BACnet communications (IP and MS/TP)
- Niagara N4 experience or certification preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and sequences of operation
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work independently in the field
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and customers
