Summary

As a TOSA, you will step out of the traditional classroom to oversee the strategic planning, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing of all school-based activities, clubs, performing arts, and extra-curricular events. A successful candidate will blend exceptional organizational skills with a data-informed approach to ensure student engagement continuously improves across all demographics at Loveland High School.

Essential Responsibilities And Duties

  • Event Organization & Scheduling
  • Master Calendar Management: Coordinate, schedule, and maintain the master calendar for all school-based activities, assemblies, and extra-curricular events to prevent conflicts and maximize participation.
  • Event Logistics: Plan and execute major school traditions, including homecoming, dances, spirit weeks, pep rallies, and graduation-related activities.
  • Facility & Community Coordination: Work alongside athletics, custodial staff, and district personnel to secure venues, equipment, and security for student events.
  • Support for Clubs, Performing Arts, & Extra-Curriculars
  • Advisor Support: Provide leadership, guidance, and resources to club advisors and performing arts directors.
  • Student Leadership Development: Mentor student council/government and student leaders, empowering them to take ownership of school initiatives.
  • Fundraising Compliance: Oversee school-wide and club-specific fundraisers, ensuring they meet district policies and financial guidelines.
  • Budget Oversight & Financial Accountability
  • Budget Management: Monitor and manage the schools student activities budget, student activity accounts, and club funds.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure funds are distributed equitably to support a diverse array of student interests and initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Student Engagement
  • Engagement Tracking: Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data regarding student participation in clubs, events, and extra-curriculars.
  • Belonging Initiatives: Utilize data to identify underserved student populations and proactively develop initiatives that enhance equity, accessibility, and a school-wide sense of belonging.
  • Reporting: Present engagement trends and progress reports regularly to the administrative team.
  • Marketing, Promotion, & Communication
  • Multi-Channel Marketing: Develop and implement creative marketing campaigns to promote school spirit and upcoming events using social media, campus signage, morning announcements, and newsletters.
  • Community Relations: Act as a primary storyteller for Loveland High School activities, bridging communication between students, staff, families, and the wider community.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Licensure: Holds/Obtains a valid State Teaching License (required for TOSA status).
  • Experience: Previous experience advising student clubs, student council, or coaching extra-curricular activities is highly preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Deep familiarity with high school culture, student dynamics, and event planning.
    • Strong financial literacy with experience managing school-based budgets.
    • Proficiency in data collection tools (surveys, spreadsheets) and the ability to translate data into actionable school-improvement strategies.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a strong grasp of digital marketing and social media management.
    • Exceptional time-management skills with a proven track record of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
