What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Information Systems Specialist position at Thompson School District?
SUMMARY: The Student Information System Specialist is responsible for the support, configuration, enhancement, customization, troubleshooting and maintaining the districts Student Information System (SIS) following all Thompson School District Board Policies and CDE guidelines. Design, develop and conduct staff activities and produce documentation and training information to ensure data integrity and best process implementations. Ensure compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Colorado Student Data Privacy and Transparency Act when dealing with all student personally identified information (PII). Collaborates with staff across the district to ensure best practices are utilized to enhance functionality with the system. This position requires excellent customer service, including with the public and parents.
