The Purchasing Associate is responsible for the procurement of all products within his/her assigned region while maximizing relationships with vendors and minimizing inventory spend.

The Purchasing Associate is responsible for the procurement of all products within his/her assigned region while maximizing relationships with vendors and minimizing inventory spend.

- Form and maintain strong vendor relations.
- Identify new suppliers and assist negotiating supply agreements and contracts as needed, including discount structures, volume rebates, shipping, etc.
- Identify opportunities for cost management/value addition.
- Forecast procurement needs and reorder points.
- Ensure supplier compliance with all company regulations and requirements, including documentation.
- Handle purchasing issues.
- Be responsible for resource and supply availability and timing.
- Perform cost analysis on items, quantities and holding costs.
- Increase ROI thru maintaining quality vendor relationships.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Previous purchasing or logistics experience, preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Great written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications with the ability to quickly learn new inventory/purchasing systems.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and talking on the phone, attending virtual online meetings, and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
