What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Shop Lead position at Thompson Safety, LLC?
Job Summary:
The Fire Shop Lead is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient reprocessing of fire extinguishers in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, primarily NFPA 10, while maintaining full control of Fire Shop inventory, asset tracking, and technician support readiness.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:
- Performs recharge, 6-year maintenance, hydrostatic testing, valve replacement, and O-ring servicing of fire extinguishers and system tanks.
- Maintain accurate real-time inventory and logs of Fire Shop.
- Maintains hydrostatic test equipment calibration.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Leadership of supervisory experience preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in fire extinguisher service
- Experience managing inventory systems
- Colorado Fire Extinguisher License (CSA preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, walking, and talking on the phone, attending virtual online meetings and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and travel when needed

Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
