Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for managing payroll processing and providing bookkeeping services for multiple clients. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. This role requires frequent client interaction and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll for multiple clients on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis.
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns and related reports.
- Process payroll tax payments and monitor tax notices.
- Prepare W-2s, 1099s, and other year-end payroll reporting requirements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Respond professionally to client inquiries and requests.
Qualifications
- Previous payroll and bookkeeping experience required.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll tax reporting and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
