What You Will Do
As a Patent Attorney, you will:
- Draft and prosecute U.S. patent applications
- Work directly with inventors to understand and capture technical innovations
- Deliver top-tier concierge-level client service through clear, responsive communication
- Manage a steady workflow within structured systems designed for efficiency and quality
- Work respectfully and effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Create high value solutions for high-quality clients who are serious about innovation and monetization
Qualifications
Required
- Flexible schedule around core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Central Time
- At least 2 years of experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications
- Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Quiet professional workspace, reliable internet, and a computer capable of running a virtual desktop (compatibility guidelines are available on the application page)
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Reside in the United States (Preference given to candidates in Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, & Texas)
Preferred
- Experience working directly with inventors, founders, or innovation-focused companies
- Strong communication skills with clients and technical stakeholders
- Experience managing a consistent patent prosecution workload
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary for this full-time role ranges from $125,000 to $215,000 per year, with final compensation determined by experience and qualifications.
In addition to base compensation, successful candidates may be eligible for performance-based monthly and annual bonus opportunities.
