What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer PE – Land Development position at Thompson Land Engineering?
Thompson Land Engineering is looking to add a highly-motivated Texas PE to our team with experience in land development. Hybrid work from our Austin office is an option.
Must have excellent design skills with knowledge of commercial and/or residential land development, including design from start to finish of projects for water, sewer, drainage, paving and site layout. The ideal candidate would be a PE with 5-15 years of private sector land development experience, including at least two years with a civil engineering consulting firm or government agency on projects in Austin and Central Texas.
We need someone who is a project manager, able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing with clients and government officials, as well as has a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines. The position requires the ability to build plan sets and other construction documents, along with a working knowledge of AutoCAD and preferably HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS. We are seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who wants to grow with our company.
