Who we are looking for:
A highly detailed and organized Inside Service Supervisor to oversee and assist the Operations Manager with the operations of the Service Department; ensuring consistent quality and efficient customer service and satisfaction to promote efficiency and productivity. The right individual will be able to expedite and coordinate flow of work within department, direct technicians for assigned repair service, and assist the Lead Technician in managing the road technicians.
Some responsibilities include:
- Oversee and coordinate administration of staff; train and supervise employees; assign duties, schedules, and breaks; attend management meetings; assist with the hiring of new employees; make recommendations regarding unsatisfactory employees and take disciplinary action, if needed.
- Provide daily dispatching/direction to the technicians - Ensure customer service is performed in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner; monitor the quality of work, and compile and analyze statistical reports.
- Plan and schedule PM services - Work closely with the Dispatcher to make sure PM's are a priority and are completed when due.
- Manage the work load - Assign work to techs, communicate with the customers progress, status and any issues that may arise during the repair. Assist the Lead Tech in any issues that may come up in the repair.
- Maintain the highest level of customer service - Work with the Billing Specialist to make sure the PO System is followed and communicated between T&J Staff and the customer.
- Manage Work in Process (WIP) - Work with the Billing Specialist to make sure the Work in Process (WIP) is monitored and work orders are closed out in a timely manner.
- Manage the PO process Execute internal & external billing processes - Work with the Billing Specialist to make sure the PO System is followed and communicated between T&J Staff and the customer.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to foster a cooperative and productive work environment through effective supervision of employees including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work and training assignments. Must possess excellent customer service skills and employee relations skills as demonstrated through superior oral and written communication efforts. Excellent diagnostic and repair skills. Ability to understand directions and follow standard operating procedures. Ability to be on call before/after normal work hours and occasional overnight travel.
Qualification Standards:
High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years service department experience is required. An Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training in a related field and prior supervisory or managerial experience is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Prerequisites:
Profile Assessment and illegal drug substance testing.
