Role Overview
We’re looking for a tech-savvy, analytical Investment Accountant who thrives on solving complex problems and streamlining processes. This role is ideal for someone with advanced Excel skills, including macro development and a passion for mastering financial systems like Advent APX. Prior experience with APX is a plus, but a quick learner with a strong technical foundation will succeed here.
As a key member of our operations team, you’ll tackle challenges across pricing, reconciliation, performance reporting, and account setup. Your ability to troubleshoot discrepancies, automate workflows, and manage data with accuracy will directly impact our efficiency and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Data Management & Reconciliation
- Price securities and process bond maturations and calls with precision
- Post performance data and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Reconcile daily transactions and cash balances with custodians
- Investigate and resolve data anomalies using analytical tools
Client & Account Operations
- Invoice client accounts and post management fees
- Set up and maintain client accounts with attention to detail
- Generate and reconcile monthly statements for clients, brokers, and accountants
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain GIPS composite membership using CAPS software
- Collaborate with auditors to verify and validate data
- Process corporate actions and conduct in-depth account research
Process Optimization & Collaboration
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve workflows
- Work closely and transparently with a small, agile team in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
· Advanced Excel skills, including writing and running macros
· Experience with Advent APX preferred, or strong aptitude to learn quickly
· Proven problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
· Familiarity with investment accounting and reconciliation processes
