The Public Area & Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall appearance of the hotel's public spaces and pool areas. The Public Area & Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall appearance of the hotel's public spaces and pool areas. This role helps create a welcoming and memorable guest experience by ensuring all guest-facing areas are clean, organized, well-stocked, and reflective of Thompson's luxury hospitality standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of public spaces, including the lobby, restrooms, hallways, elevators, meeting spaces, and other guest-facing areas.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the pool deck, pool furniture, cabanas, and surrounding areas.
- Set up, arrange, clean, and organize pool furniture and guest amenities throughout the day.
- Remove trash, towels, glassware, and debris from public and pool areas.
- Restock supplies in public restrooms, pool areas, and housekeeping storage locations.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces throughout the hotel.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and assist with guest needs in public areas.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged furniture, or cleanliness issues to the appropriate departments.
- Assist with special projects, deep cleaning assignments, and event-related setup or breakdown as assigned.
- Support housekeeping operations as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the operation and guest experience.

- Previous housekeeping, public area, pool attendant, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
