The Public Area & Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall appearance of the hotel's public spaces and pool areas. This role helps create a welcoming and memorable guest experience by ensuring all guest-facing areas are clean, organized, well-stocked, and reflective of Thompson's luxury hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of public spaces, including the lobby, restrooms, hallways, elevators, meeting spaces, and other guest-facing areas.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the pool deck, pool furniture, cabanas, and surrounding areas.
• Set up, arrange, clean, and organize pool furniture and guest amenities throughout the day.
• Remove trash, towels, glassware, and debris from public and pool areas.
• Restock supplies in public restrooms, pool areas, and housekeeping storage locations.
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and assist with guest needs in public areas.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged furniture, or cleanliness issues to the appropriate departments.
• Assist with special projects, deep cleaning assignments, and event-related setup or breakdown as assigned.
• Support housekeeping operations as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the operation and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, public area, pool attendant, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
  
  

Physical Requirements: This position is physically active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift. Candidates must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, move and arrange pool furniture, operate cleaning equipment, and regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
