What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host - The Ridley position at Thompson Hospitality?
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, creating a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and coordinate seating arrangements to ensure efficient table turnover.
- Provide accurate wait times and communicate with guests about the status of their table.
- Answer guest inquiries and provide information about the restaurant, menu, and special promotions.
- Maintain a clean and organized host station, assisting with various front-of-house duties as needed.
- Experience in high-volume, upscale casual dining or an equivalent service environment preferred
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required
- At least 18 years of age (unless permitted by law)
- High energy and stamina. Able to work within a fast-paced, highly mobile environment
- Able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day preferred
- Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and some holidays
