Schedule: Full time, Day and Evening rotation, 12 hour shifts including alternating weekends/holidays.

What will you do?
- Performs basic nursing care tasks under the direction of the RN & performs unit secretarial and receptionist duties on the Med/Surg floor.
Required Job Specific Competencies:
- Demonstrates effective communication skills in gathering and disseminating information
- Demonstrates effective decision making and flexibility in prioritizing assignments
- Demonstrates effective computer skills and the ability to perform accurate order entry
- Demonstrates good organizational skills in maintaining the medical record
- Demonstrates the ability to perform patient care duties under the direction of the RN and within the scope of practice of the PCT
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- BLS Certification required
- One year of exp as a CNA, EMT, nursing student or other comparable experience required.
- Basic computer skills: MS Office, Outlook, Word required
- Experience performing phlebotomy and or EKGs in an acute care setting highly desired.
- Medical terminology and knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) preferred.
- Previous clerical/receptionist experience desirable
- Available to work weekends & holidays
Pay Range: $18.64 - $21.50
Starting Pay: Based on Experience
