Job Description: Thompson Gray is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Subject Matter Expert to support to support an Army customer and its efforts in coordinating, overseeing and delivering advanced simulation, testing, and training solutions for military operations. The candidate must possess extensive experience operating and training in aviation platforms, both manned and unmanned, for the US Army. Additionally, candidate must understand aviation training requirements for qualification, gunnery, and man-unmanned engagements. Knowledgeable in aviation operations on U.S. Army Ranges with experience in the U.S. Army Aviation Weapons Scoring System (AWSS) used for Live Fire certification on Army ranges. Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to work independently are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review Capabilities Development / Production Documents / Operational Requirements Document.
- Analyze the Future Army System of Integrated Targets (DRTS) and/or the Digital Range Training System (DRTS) program plans to ensure the requirement in the CPD/CDD/ORD are being addressed.
- Assist the team in deriving performance requirements from the CPD/CDD/ORD.
- Advise on/develop Acquisition Strategies & Plans.
- Develop/review contract Requirements Packages (RPs) to include Statement of Works (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Independent Government Estimates (IGEs), market research reports, and Performance Specifications.
- Coordinate with other Government program offices (PAE Fires, PM Abrams, PM Bradley, PM Stryker, PM Aviation/Apache, etc.) to ensure that the PdM LTS project office understands the PMs' training needs.
- Provide SME support to the teams as pertains to Ground Combat Systems, Aviation Platforms, Unmanned Aviation Systems, or Electronic Warfare.
- Assist in developing scenarios for exercises and test events.
- Develop /review test plans and test procedures to ensure compliance with the CPD/CDD/ORD and the users' training needs.
- Provide testing support to the team as systems are fielded.
- Develop Logistical contract CDRLs, cataloging process, manual validations and New Equipment Training (NET) requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Existing SECRET security clearance.
- Excellent communication skills; strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Prior Army service preferred.
- Experience with various Training Doctrine preferred.
- PEO STRI / ACC-Orlando experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- DAWIA Level 3 - Test & Evaluation
- Experience in both classified and unclassified network testing environments.
- Experience with defense-related Test & Evaluation policies and standards.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and methods for network systems.
- Experience with the development of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Agile Certification (Scrum Master, Agile Practitioner, etc.).
- ATEC Expertise: Demonstrated experience in ATEC environments, with knowledge extending beyond ATEC to broader testing methodologies.
