What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer position at Thompson Grading & Clearing INC.?
Operator:
- Operate equipment effectively and within the equipment’s operating capabilities to ensure deadlines of job are met.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and operator preventive maintenance checks.
- Report any malfunctions of equipment or problems to immediate supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness inside cab of equipment and windows.
- Ensure equipment is properly shut down and stored at the end of the shift.
- Maintain accurate logs and records
- Always adhere to corporate safety policies and procedures.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner to minimize the risk of injury and property damage.
- Wear all company required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Always wear seatbelts in all pieces of equipment with no exceptions.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required by supervisor
Laborer:
- The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the project.
- Always adhere to corporate safety policies and procedures.
- Perform work in a safe manner to minimize the risk of injury and property damage.
- Wear all company required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required by supervisor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
