JOB TITLE: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
SUMMARY:
A Facilities Maintenance Supervisor ensures that buildings and facilities are properly maintained, safe, functional, and compliant with regulations. The role combines technical maintenance, team supervision, and administrative oversight. This role helps coordinate all plant maintenance, including maintenance scheduling, workforce supervision, and process improvement. The Facilities Maintenance Manager acts as a key leader in achieving operational goals and developing a culture of continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Manage maintenance operations to plan and schedule both preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
- Work directly with maintenance staff to complete all maintenance tasks.
- Ensure HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural elements, and other building and equipment systems are operating properly. Diagnose issues and coordinate repairs or upgrades.
- Oversee larger repair or renovation projects; coordinate with contractors, review bids, monitor work quality and schedules.
- Estimate costs, request materials/supplies, manage spare parts inventory and track expenditures.
- Ensure maintenance work meets local/state/federal building and safety codes, and enforce safe working practices for staff.
- Manage work orders, maintenance logs, inspection reports, maintenance history, and any required regulatory paperwork.
- Coordinate maintenance shutdowns with production to reduce downtime.

Education and/or Experience
- Must have 7 years of previous manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, structural, hydraulic).
- Maintaining mechanical systems, production equipment, structural upkeep, etc
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Safety & OSHA knowledge
