Thomaston Physical Therapy is looking for Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team
Must have a Doctorate in physical therapy or equivalent Licensed Physical Therapist
Must be able to work with pediatric patients and families. As well as other ages when needed.
This a W2 position, per diem, part time, or possibility for full time. All employees receive workers comp. and CT paid leave (employee is responsible for contribution to CT paid leave).
In the office Be able to work during these hours on Tuesday & Thursday allowed times hours 9:30am-8pm. and Maybe able to make your own schedule for the weekends.
Home Visits and able to make your own schedule for visits and Milage Reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Aquatic Therapy On-Site: Able to assist patients in the Aquatic therapy pool and get in when needed. Shower onsite for employees and patient use.
- Home Care: Conduct home visits after assessments with patients. Able to make your own schedule for visits and Milage Reimbursement.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare team members
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in hospital settings, particularly in acute care environments
- Apply knowledge of physiology and anatomy to tailor treatments to each patient's needs
Use EMR/EHR system, computer, phone, administrative task & help office staff when needed.
Work with the patients family and the patient's care team
Input clinical notes with in 24-48 hours of appointment.
Complete any paperwork that may be need for authorizations or complete patient claims.
Skills:
- Work well with families and caregivers of patients.
- Work with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, to improve their physical health and well-being.
- Excellent patient care skills to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients during therapy sessions
- Experience working with pediatric patients and understanding their unique needs and challenges
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document patient progress and communicate with colleagues
- Ability to work effectively in a outpatient therapy particularly in acute care situations
In-depth understanding of physiology and anatomy to provide targeted therapy based on individual patient conditions
Excellent Bed side manner and customer service. Work along side office staff in a professional manner.
Use EMR/EHR system, computer, phone, administrative task & help office staff when needed.
Physical Therapy Modules but not required:
- Vestibular rehabilitation
- Other Pediatric certifications
This position requires a licensed or doctorate in Physical Therapist with a passion for helping patients recover from injuries or illnesses through personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs.
