Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Excavation Laborer to join our team. This full-time position offers the chance to grow within the company, learn new skills, and take on more responsibility over time. We are a family-owned business that handles all aspects of excavation and pile driving. MUST have own car and work number as you’ll be paid with a check week in hand
Key Responsibilities:
- Excavation Assistance: Digging trenches, foundations, and preparing land for construction using manual tools and heavy machinery (we’ll train you on equipment).
- Utility Work: Assisting in the installation or relocation of utilities such as water, gas, and electricity lines.
- Shoring & Trenching: Help set up safety measures to prevent cave-ins in trenches and other excavations.
- Teamwork: Work alongside experienced team members, including operators and supervisors, to ensure the job gets done safely and efficiently.
- Site Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Basic understanding of excavation processes is a plus (but we’re willing to train the right person!).
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the desire to learn.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Working Conditions:
- Work may be performed in various weather conditions (rain, heat, etc.).
- Safety equipment required (steel-toe boots and gloves).
- Physical labor, including lifting, digging, and carrying materials, is part of the daily routine.
- Long hours and weekend shifts may be required, depending on project deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Competitive wage, based on experience. Starting at $20.00 – $30.00 per hour.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8-10 hour shifts (some weekend work may be required)
- Overtime available as needed
