Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Sanitation CDL Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for operating sanitation collection vehicles, safely collecting and transporting residential and/or commercial waste, and providing professional service to customers and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate sanitation trucks and other assigned vehicles.
- Perform residential, commercial, or municipal waste collection routes.
- Load, collect, and transport refuse, recyclables, and other approved materials.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, company, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate route and service records.
- Report vehicle issues, safety concerns, or service problems promptly.
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle and work area.
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Assist with general sanitation duties as needed.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Current DOT medical card, as required.
- Previous commercial driving, waste collection, sanitation, or heavy equipment experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate heavy trucks and equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety and reliable attendance.
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, walk, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as required.
