Duties
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle including manual transmission tractor-trailers, and automatics.
- Ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Deliver freight to designated locations following planned routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to maintain safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance reports in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Handle hazardous materials (hazmat) shipments responsibly by following all safety protocols and regulations related to tanker operations and hazmat transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries, report issues, and ensure timely completion of routes.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements for Tanker and Hazmat transportation.
- 2 Years of proven experience in truck driving, including route driving, freight delivery, and operating various types of trucks such as flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, or dump trucks.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently. As we as automatics.
- Experience with freight handling.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to tanker operations and hazardous materials handling.
- Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
