Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class B Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires two commercial driving experience, and have a Hazmat endorsement. If you do not have a Hazmat endorsement then you will be required to get one within 90 days upon hire. You must show commitment to safety and excellent customer service is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
- Manage freight documentation and ensure proper handling of goods during transit.
Experience
- Proven experience as a truck driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Must have two years of commercial driving experience.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in truck driving.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines effectively.
