We are recruiting for a clinical role within the outpatient Medical & Cosmetic Dermatology sector serving a diverse US patient population. This on-site Advanced Practice Provider position delivers high-quality, procedure-driven dermatologic care—focused on skin disease management, skin cancer screening, and minor surgical procedures—within a busy specialty practice.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient dermatology care: evaluate, diagnose, and manage common and complex skin conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis, infections, rosacea).
- Perform dermatologic procedures including punch and shave biopsies, lesion excisions, cryotherapy, electrodessication/curettage, and suturing with safe post-procedure follow-up.
- Conduct routine skin cancer screenings using dermoscopy, document findings, and coordinate referrals for dermatologic surgery (Mohs) when indicated.
- Prescribe and manage dermatologic therapies, monitor treatment response (including isotretinoin where authorized), and adjust plans based on outcomes and safety monitoring.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation, appropriate CPT/ICD-10 coding, order diagnostic tests, and manage referrals and follow-up care.
- Collaborate closely with dermatologists, nursing staff, and clinic leadership to meet clinical quality metrics, improve workflows, and deliver excellent patient education and experience.
Must-Have
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the US with current prescriptive authority and valid DEA registration.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in dermatology or equivalent experience with dermatologic procedures and outpatient specialty care.
- Proven competence performing skin biopsies, lesion excisions, cryotherapy, electrosurgery, and suturing.
- Experience with dermoscopy and skin cancer screening; strong clinical assessment and differential-diagnosis skills.
- Proficient with Electronic Medical Records (Epic preferred), and comfortable with CPT/ICD-10 documentation and coding best practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; strong communication and patient-education skills.
- Fellowship, certificate, or concentrated training in dermatology; prior cosmetic dermatology experience (injectables, laser, microprocedures).
- Experience managing isotretinoin programs and advanced cosmetic closures.
- Familiarity with quality-improvement initiatives, patient-satisfaction metrics, and practice workflow optimization.
