Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and durability
• Execute residential and commercial painting projects using various techniques including brush, roller, hand tools, conventional spraying, and airless paint spraying
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and renovation plans to accurately execute project specifications
• Select appropriate paints and finishes based on color theory principles and client preferences; perform visual color comparisons for precise matching
• Conduct surface preparation tasks such as masonry work, stucco application, drywall finishing, and fixture installation to ensure smooth results
• Maintain safety regulations by using respiratory protection, proper scaffolding procedures, and handling hazardous materials responsibly
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely while performing tasks like carpentry, framing, trim carpentry, caulking, welding, concrete finishing, masonry work, and remodeling projects
• Assist with restoration projects by applying industrial or construction spray painting techniques on various surfaces
• Collaborate with team members to interpret blueprints and schematics for complex projects involving renovation or maintenance work
• Ensure all work meets quality standards through thorough inspections and adherence to safety protocols at all times

Experience

• Proven construction site experience with a strong background in residential or commercial painting projects
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
• Hands-on experience with surface preparation including plastering, stucco application, drywall finishing, caulking, and fixture installation
• Familiarity with industrial painting techniques and the use of airless spray equipment or conventional spray guns
• Experience working with power tools such as drills, sanders, saws, welding equipment, and other hand tools in a construction environment
• Understanding of safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection and hazard management
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project scope and material quantities
• Ability to read blueprints effectively for remodeling or renovation projects involving framing or masonry work
• Demonstrated handyman skills across various trades such as carpentry, concrete finishing, masonry, or maintenance tasks
