Job Description
Thomas Rest Haven is a city owned facility celebrating 50 years of serving the residents of the Coon Rapids, IA area. This facility is a 57 bed skilled/nursing care facility that offers short or long term care, respite care, and has a Veteran's care contract. The facility also has a 12 unit assisted living attached, provides inpatient and outpatient therapy services, and has a physician's office on campus. TRH offers an excellent benefit package including life/health insurance, IPERS, and many more.
Job Description
As a dietary aide on our team, you’ll take pride in assisting our cooks, serving and maintaining the cleanliness of our dining room and kitchen to help keep our residents happy and healthy. Integrity and attention to detail are also two must-have tools that you keep in your bag of tricks.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service toward residents, guests, and co-workers. Is adaptable to customer needs.
- Provides meal prep assistance to the cook and food service to the residents, guests and staff.
- Maintains all assigned duties in a clean neat and sanitary manner, to protect safety and health of others and in compliance with accurate preventative procedures as outlined in department policy.
- Demonstrates efficient and safe use of assigned kitchen equipment.
- Ensures the disinfection of equipment and supplies.
- Diligently employs world class customer service to our residents, guests and staff.
- Promotes effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships, always maintains professional conduct.
- Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to Iowa Health Care Association and departmental training commitments.

Qualifications
High school education or GED is preferred, but not required. Must be at least 16 years old
