We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Senior Assembler to play a critical hands-on role on our manufacturing floor. In this role, you will build, test, and inspect complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies—ranging from standard flow and level switches to specialized custom configurations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in precision mechanical assembly, strict adherence to quality control protocols, and the ability to work independently or guide team members in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Precision Assembly: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, bills of materials (BOM), and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to accurately build mechanical and electromechanical flow switches, liquid level indicators, and pump control units.
• Component Preparation & Fabrication: Perform precision mechanical fitting, soldering, wiring, and sub-assembly work using hand tools, power tools, and specialized shop equipment while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Quality Control & Testing: Conduct in-process quality checks and functional testing (pressure, electrical continuity, and calibration checks) on finished assemblies to ensure zero defects and full compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality requirements.
• Custom Configuration & Rework: Efficiently assemble custom-engineered solutions tailored to unique customer applications, troubleshooting assembly discrepancies or mechanical snags on the fly.
• Inventory & Safety Compliance: Maintain accurate inventory staging for active builds, handle raw materials safely (including specialized alloys like Monel and stainless steel), and adhere strictly to all OSHA and facility safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly within an industrial manufacturing, aerospace, or medical device environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Proficient use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, multi-meters, and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges), or willingness to learn.
• Strong aptitude for mechanical troubleshooting and detail-oriented craftsmanship.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a strong plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, use hands for precise repetitive tasks, and safely lift/move up to 45 lbs. if needed.

Nice to have skills:

• Process Improvement & Mentorship: Assist production leadership in identifying workflow inefficiencies, maintaining 5S shop floor standards, and providing peer-level training and support to junior assemblers.
• Quality Mindset: Prior experience working under formal quality management systems (ISO 9001 familiarity strongly preferred).

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
