Service Technician

Busy manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to troubleshoot, install, rebuild, and repair machines for the food processing industry. Machines include grinders, mixers, hydraulic/pneumatic systems and gearboxes. Technician will work on site in Rice Lake, WI and offsite at customer’s location around the US if needed. Job Summary

Inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs food-processing equipment for the company and customers.

Qualifications :

• Experience building, repairing and assembling food processing machines (Grinders, mixers, hydraulic/pneumatic systems)
• Must be able to read mechanical drawings and use measuring tools
• Ability to conduct field audits and communicate directly with customers.
• Professional demeanor to provide training onsite to customers
• Clean driving record & yearly DOT medical requirements to drive our company fleet of vehicles
• Extenstive Travel required up to 25% of time, sometimes with little notice. Maybe be required to travel nights, weekends or holidays. International travel is rare but could be required.
• Some electrical knowledge preferred
• Basic computer skills for logging time and filling out service reports.
• 3 years minimum Mechanical experience with preference given to candidates that are a graduate of a Mechanical, Mantenance or other Industrial degree.
• Required to work in wet, food processing environments

Shift: Standard shift if not traveling is Mon-Fri 6:30am - 3:00 pm
