Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, primers, coatings, and finishes using airless paint spraying equipment, brushes, rollers, or other application methods.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and other materials handling equipment to move heavy parts and materials safely within the workspace.
- Conduct inspections of finished work using precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols related to chemical handling, ventilation, and personal protective equipment.
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure proper preparation of parts prior to painting.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste throughout the painting process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial painting, auto body repair, or construction painting environments.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication, and auto painting techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, welding equipment, and basic fabrication tools confidently.
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes; certification preferred.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical use, working at heights, and equipment operation.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for quality control.
- Warehouse experience or background in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
