from pre-recorded dictation. - EDUCATION
- Certification
in Medical Transcription and/or post high school training in medical
terminology and transcription preferred.

- EXPERIENCE
- If above criteria are met, 1-2 years work experience preferred and if applicant has been employed as a medical transcriptionist, education and training requirements may be waived.
- Prefer experience with digital voice recognition software and functionality.

- COMPUTER/TYPING/MATH SKILLS
- Must be trained in word processing applications, preferably current or later versions – post Windows 95.
- Must have ability to use and maintain laser printers, copy machine, fax machine, computer central processing unit, computer monitors and digital dictation system.
- Must be able to transcribe a minimum of 50 words per minute.
- JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Must have the ability to interpret a foreign dialect.
- Must be able to maintain equipment.
