Jefferson is also recognized as the 2nd Best Hospital in the Philadelphia Metro area and the 3rd Best Hospital in Pennsylvania The work schedule commitment for this position requires the following: Must be able to work Day Shift Must be able to work three (3) twelve (12) hour shifts on a weekly basis Must be able to work every third(3rd) weekend Responsibilities Reporting to the Nurse Manager, Patient Care Tech IIs will provide direct bedside care to patients: Performs assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well-being of the patient Maintains appropriate documentation on all assigned patients, including flow sheets Maintains advanced knowledge and experience with phlebotomy and lab specimen collection including T&S, Blood Cultures Assists physicians with examinations and tests as needed Other tasks include respiratory services, and rehabilitation services Qualifications To qualify as Patient Care Tech II, you must meet the following requirements for consideration: High School Diploma or equivalent required One of the following is required: PCT or related certification, Certified nursing assistant (CNA), EMT cert preferred Minimum of 2 years nursing assistant, PCT or healthcare experience required.
