Job Purpose The Museum Shop Receiver oversees the movement of product received from the Distribution Center to all retail locations.
Essential Functions
- Verifies all merchandise received from the Distribution Center against the Transfer slip and reports any discrepancies.
- Unpacks all merchandise for both retail locations. Will send merchandise to sales floor in Museum Shop and assist with stocking the Farm Shop when deliveries are received.
- Stores items that will not go to the sales floor in the appropriate location in the stockroom. Labels all boxes with the name of the product.
- Maintains store supplies and keeps the sales floor stocked with bags, tissue paper, and boxes.
- Checks sales floor daily to determine inventory needs and replenishes merchandise as needed. Pulls merchandise for both locations based on prepared lists
- Maintains a clean and organized stockroom.
- Removes trash daily
- Must have the ability to multi-task
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
- Must have the ability to climb ladders for stocking and restocking purposes
- High school diploma is required
