We are seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead and scale high-performing teams across land development, construction, and warranty—driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional homes at speed and quality.
The Opportunity: This is a critical senior leadership role responsible for owning the end-to-end production lifecycle—from horizontal development through vertical construction and customer delivery. You will partner closely with division leadership to drive performance, optimize financial outcomes, and elevate the TJH customer experience, all while building and inspiring elite teams.
What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership
- Lead all aspects of division operations, including Land Development, Construction, Warranty (Customer Care), and Build Experience
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality homes on time and within budget
- Drive alignment across cross-functional partners including Acquisitions, Forward Planning, Purchasing, and Sales
Execution & Performance
- Own production schedules and proactively remove obstacles to maintain cycle time and delivery targets
- Establish and refine construction standards, operational processes, and field training programs
- Implement cost controls and financial discipline to protect margin and optimize profitability
Financial & Strategic Accountability
- Lead with a strong P&L mindset, ensuring business plans translate into operational execution
- Partner with division leadership on strategy, forecasting, and resource allocation
- Ensure underwriting assumptions translate into realistic build timelines and cost structures
Team Leadership & Culture
- Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing teams across operations disciplines
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Serve as a key leader within the division, shaping talent strategy and organizational effectiveness
External Partnership & Market Presence
- Build strong relationships with trade partners, vendors, and public agencies
- Represent TJH across the market as a leader in residential construction and development
What You Bring
- 10 years of leadership experience in residential construction, homebuilding, or real estate development
- Proven success leading large-scale, multi-functional operations teams
- Deep expertise in construction operations, land development, purchasing, scheduling, and trade management
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, cost controls, and P&L performance
- Track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and at high-quality standards
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence across executive and field teams
- Experience in data-driven operations and process optimization

Salary : $203,040 - $253,800
