What You'll Do
- Acquire LiDAR data using UAVs and mobile platforms and process raw data into accurate point clouds
- Lead and mentor drone pilots on FAA regulations, operational best practices, and safety protocols
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate LiDAR systems, UAVs, and related survey equipment
- Develop expertise in LiDAR data acquisition, processing workflows, and emerging industry technologies
- Coordinate with Survey Project Managers to improve workflows and ensure high-quality deliverables
- Assist in managing the Drone Program, including pilot training, certifications, and regulatory compliance
- Continuously improve standard operating procedures, workflows, and safety standards
- Support project teams by delivering accurate and timely geospatial data
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License required
- Working knowledge of FAA drone regulations and airspace requirements
- Knowledge of LiDAR systems and land surveying practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and appropriately prioritize workflow
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Client service–oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
