Responsibilities
- Supervise children during camp or after-school activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Facilitate a variety of engaging programs including sports, crafts, outdoor adventures, and educational games
- Manage classroom or activity areas using effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions
- Implement safety protocols such as first aid procedures, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response plans when necessary
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention in collaboration with specialists when applicable
- Lead group activities that promote teamwork, leadership, and personal growth
- Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding progress or concerns
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, babysitting, or youth programs is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols (certifications preferred but training available)
- Strong classroom management skills coupled with the ability to handle behavioral challenges effectively
- Experience facilitating group activities or sports coaching is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Outdoor work experience and comfort working in various weather conditions are beneficial
- Passion for working with children and fostering their growth through engaging activities
