We are seeking an Air Import Specialist to join a growing team near JFK Airport.
This is a fully on-site position offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to manage the complete air import process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full Air Import process (A-Z) from shipment arrival through final delivery.
- Coordinate with overseas agents, airlines, customs brokers, truckers, and customers.
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely movement and delivery.
- Prepare and review all import documentation including AWBs, arrival notices, and customs-related paperwork.
- Communicate shipment updates and resolve any service issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and international shipping regulations.
- Handle billing, invoicing, and file maintenance as required.
Requirements:
- Previous freight forwarding experience is essential.
- Experience handling Air Imports from A-Z.
- Strong knowledge of air freight documentation and import procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office.
