Customs Entry Writer │ Schaumburg, IL │Up to $70k
We’re looking for a motivated Customs Entry Writer to join a fast-paced, customer-focused logistics team. This is a great opportunity for someone with freight forwarding or customs brokerage experience who wants to grow their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file customs entry documentation in line with U.S. Customs regulations
- Accurately enter shipment data and update milestones in internal systems
- File Partner Government Agency (PGA) data (e.g., FDA, Fish & Wildlife), including Prior Notice
- Monitor and manage exception reports in a timely manner
- Proactively resolve logistics and transportation issues with a customer-first mindset
- Communicate regularly with customers, providing full visibility on shipment status
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years’ experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or distribution
- Strong understanding of customs processes and compliance
- Experience using CargoWise (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
