Carpenter Overview
The Carpenter plays a hands-on role in the field, working under the direction of the Foreman and Superintendent to execute high-quality residential construction. This position requires strong technical skills in carpentry, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed to Thomas Fragnoli's standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Carpenters are expected to bring craftsmanship, problem-solving, and professionalism to every task while supporting the overall success of the project and jobsite team.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarpentry & Installation
· Read and interpret building plans and specifications.
· Perform framing, installation of doors and windows, drywall, cabinets, wood trim etc. with proper fit and alignment.
· Operate tools, machinery, and equipment safely and effectively.
· Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square to precise measurements and in line with project plans and specifications.
· Discuss production goals with the Forman or Superintendent, track and communicate your progress to those goals.
Jobsite Support & Quality
· Assist the Foreman and Superintendent with layout, planning, and sequencing of tasks.
· Track material usage and communicate shortages or issues to supervisors.
· Maintain strict TF quality standards in craftsmanship and installation.
· Support overall site security, cleanliness, and organization.
· Help monitor and maintain company tools, equipment, and supply levels.
Safety & Teamwork
· Follow and enforce TF safety protocols for self and fellow employees.
· Support apprentices and less experienced carpenters with skill development.
· Collaborate with crew members and subcontractors in a professional, respectful manner.
· Foster a positive and constructive environment on the jobsite.
Administrative & Reporting
· Maintain accurate daily timecards using correct time codes.
· Take notes, keep task lists, and report progress or issues to the Foreman or Superintendent.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors to ensure alignment on priorities and production goals.
Qualifications
· Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential construction.
· Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
· Strong construction math skills and understanding of vertical/horizontal control lines.
· Ownership and proper use of a complete set of carpenter's tools (list provided).
· Excellent craftsmanship and problem-solving ability.
· Strong communication skills and ability to take direction.
· Adaptability in working with both traditional and modern materials.
· Reliable transportation and clean driving record.
· Ability to stand for long periods, reach, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills a plus.

Pay: $ $50.00 per hour
