Job Overview
We are seeking a safety-conscious High Reach Fork Lift operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials at elevated heights using a high reach forklift, ensuring smooth operations in shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment while supporting our commitment to excellence in materials handling and logistics.
Duties
- Operate high reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport pallets and materials within the warehouse
- Safely stack and organize inventory at various heights, optimizing storage space
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory movements
- Assist with order picking using
pickers and ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders - Load and unload trucks efficiently, coordinating with shipping and receiving teams
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment including forklifts, clamp trucks, crane attachments, and pallet jacks to ensure safety compliance
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company protocols during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating high reach forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, order picking, and materials handling techniques
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on heavy equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and shipping & receiving procedures
- Valid forklift certification and OSHA safety training certification required
- Experience with crane operation, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and construction-related heavy equipment is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
